The Way I See It

Graham Greene was right and as part of my therapy I have the urge to drop a reality bomb. So take a seat, what I’m going to say will cheese many of you off.

We don't need to take the leadership of the Liberal Party back. No one stole it. A decision was made by those who pick the leader (Members of Parliament) based on certain facts to change the leadership. We don’t vote for a President, we vote for a party who appoints the leader. It happened in September 2015. Get over it.

If Turnbull was treacherous in removing Abbott then the same applies to Abbott removing Turnbull in 2009. At least Abbott received a warning and was given seven months to fix the issues that led to the warning. Enough of the double-standards.

Abbott is telling all and sundry that Turnbull’s government has retained his policies. True they have retained many of them. We would expect nothing less. But, the most important question Abbott refuses to ask himself is, why did his party get rid of him if it wasn’t about his policies? There had to be a solid reason for a parliamentary team to resort to the trouble and embarrassment of removing him. Unless of course you are willing to admit to voting for weak-kneed idiots as your Liberal representatives. If you did, that's your problem. Who in their right mind risks the ridicule, the vicious attacks from the DelCons? Or, the accusations of being just like Labor with its Gillard/Rudd shenanigans for no reason.

If Abbott was such a hero why didn’t the electorate trust him with their vote at the last election. Sure, he gained an overwhelming majority in the House of Reps but where it matters in the senate he failed big time. His senate performance was very poor. Don’t believe me? “Senate percentages for the winning prime minister's party, excluding Whitlam since there was no Senate election in 1972. The percentages are: Fraser 51.7, Menzies 50.4, Hawke 45.5, Howard 44, Rudd 40.3 and Abbott 37."

Don’t come the Turnbull treachery and lack of principles attack and then turn a blind eye to the things Abbott has done. For example. His all out assault on Pauline Hanson. Calling a dying man who was fighting for the rights of others a fraud. Leading a revolt in 2009 to out the leader. Lying to the electorate and breaking promises.

Tony Abbott promised not to destabilise or white ant. The sweat wasn’t dry on the bible before he started the me, me, me. Then he started undermining and big noting (his recent selfie storm fest of pics from his Quasi PM tour were cringe worthy big noting). You got rolled Tony because you failed. Get Over It and act like a grown-up and not someone who had their lollies stolen.

The same applies to the likes of Abetz and Andrews. If you can’t support the party then resign go set up you own party and stop acting like the Conservative Taliban blowing up ours.

Even if you are angry, sad, or pissed off because of what happened to Tony Abbott that doesn’t give you the right to attack others who don’t share your opinions. Some of us were relieved to see him go. PS: That doesn’t automatically make us Turnbull lovers.

This is not about who I support. I don’t support Abbott or Turnbull. Neither of them can hold a candle to some previous leaders. I support the party not the leader.

Supporting a different political perspective or party to you doesn’t make someone scum or filth. That's reserved for pedophiles, murderers and animal abusers.

Cheering for a hung parliament with the senate controlled by the micro ALA party is mind numbingly stupid. Haven’t you learnt the lesson from the last three and a bit years of political senate chaos? Wake up.

Not all Muslims are lying in wait until they receive a call to rise up and kill you. They're as scared as you are of terrorists and religious fanatics.

While I’m at it, not all female Muslims are forced to wear religious clothing. Surprise, surprise many Muslim women in the west are more than well equipped to decide for themselves what they wear.

Not all immigrants are dole bludgers. Those who are, aren’t just from one ethnic group or religion either.

Unless you can trace your family linage back to someone who roamed the great open plains boomeranging kangaroos you are a descendent of an immigrant. Please stop saying that immigrants are ruining our country. Many have made significant contributions Australia.

Being concerned about the environment and supporting some forms of renewable energy doesn’t make me a left-wing nut job.

So, stop labelling people. The fact is you only do it so you can vilify and attack people based your prejudices toward opposing views and lack of respect for others.

Speaking of facts. There is a huge difference between facts, opinions, and propaganda. Might help if some people understood the difference.

Our mainstream media have an agenda and are not "fair, balanced or unbiased.” That’s not to say all journalists are like that. So read lots of opinions and sources and form your own views based on as many facts as your can brain can tolerate. If you only read Bolt and listen to Alan Jones you are not getting a balanced opinions. There is more to the story than the headline.

Likewise, quoting an unnamed source doesn’t always mean what is said is a lie. Sometimes it just isn’t possible or wise to name a source.

I don’t give a flying fig who you vote for. But, I do care about the welfare of our country. I am concerned about the attempts of some sections of the electorate to sabotage the election based on their hatred of one man. They say vengeance is sweet but not when the rest of us pay for it, it isn’t.

The Liberal Party Terrorists

If I was in Barnaby Joyce’s shoes, I’d be tearing my hair out over what is going on within the Liberal Party. As a member of the coalition group, The Nationals fortunes to a large degree rely on a strong and united Liberal party.  Instead, the Liberal Party are beset with infighting, and accusations of disunity and divide. We have the ex-Prime Minister who takes every opportunity to stick in a barb despite stating he wouldn’t do that. We have a Prime Minister who appears to not be able to reign Abbott in. We have media who feed off this stuff and the willing leakers who are providing them with anything that will create a negative headline. I don’t mind admitting that as a member of the Liberal Party, I am tearing my hair out and I know for sure I’m not the only one.

After years of relative stability and prosperity we plunged into the dark ages of six years of Labor. I won't rehash their failings they are well known. It was with a sense of overwhelming relief that the LNP coalition sweep into power in 2013. It wasn’t long before key election commitments were delivered. Boats, Carbon Tax, Mining Tax gone. Then came the budget and the ‘ship floundered’. We were paddling madly to stay afloat.

Progress was stalling and every little glitch, stumbled word, fleeting glance was front page news. Relationships that were tenuous unravelled before out eyes. Internal power plays became the standard game. In February 2015 a message was delivered to Tony Abbott; take control of the bridge, get back on course or face the consequences.

The next seven months were a low point in our Liberal history. The accusations and infighting continued. The get squares and removal or sidelining of anyone who posed a threat to positions of power was par for the course. “You leak and blame the other guy” strategy was in full swing. We continued to flounder. The parliamentary party said enough and in September we had a new leader. Once more there were signs of relief but this time we also had the insidious declarations of open warfare. It took no time and we were back where we started. The architects of the destabilisation were still there. Only their motivation had changed. This time their sights are set on bringing down the so called usurper Turnbull and with it, the  Liberal party.

Had the ship had been in good shape in 2015 there wouldn’t have been a ‘mutiny’. But it wasn’t. While change was needed there is a group in the parliamentary party that did not, will not and cannot accept that. The same applies to the anti-Liberals within the community.

The upshot of that is we now have within our parliamentary ranks a destructive rogue gang. Some label them the Liberal Taliban. I think that's an accurate description. They are hell bent on wrecking the Turnbull Govt and along with it the country.

Over the coming weeks there will be more and more destabilisation. We are hearing and seeing the commentary around the so called rift between Malcolm Turnbull and Scott Morrison. Much has been made over Scott Morrison’s exclusion from the PM’s inner sanctum meeting on Sunday night. The Telegraph and Australian both ran stories today stating who and isn’t in the inner sanctum. The laugh is, they have different lists. I think the leakers need to liaise more before they feed this stuff to the press.

We can expect to see an increase in contradictory statements made by the rouge group to those made by Malcolm Turnbull, Scott Morrison and the rest of the cabinet.  There is a deliberate strategy to distract the media and the public from the key message, to spook the electorate and fire up the disenchanted.

Two of our female Ministers will be key targets. Don’t be surprised if there are more leaks relating to our subs contract. That's part of the get square. People within the rogue group will do everything within their power to thwart the DD strategy. They are still hanging onto the feigned hope of an Abbott resurrection. Winning government from a DD hurts their cause.

The puerile campaign to let's make Malcolm look stupid is underway with the ridiculous stories, cartoons and media comment associated with his “Continuity and Change” comment. Claims it was stolen from Veep highlights the lack of intelligence of those pushing it. The study and adoption of Continuity and Change strategy has been around well before some cheap comedy. India and Russia have included “Continuity and Change” as a Foreign Policy foundation for years. It's frequently used in academic texts, including here. Religions use it as do businesses. A quick Google check proves it. For the record Veep used “Continuity With Change.” I think is a great vision statement but we do need to see what the plan is to achieve it. The budget and election policy plans should make that clear. If it doesn’t yet it needs to and it needs to.

So folks batten down the hatches we are in for a rocky ride. It will get dirty. The true nature of the rogue gang will be evident. The usual line up of media bile pushers  will be out in force salivating over every bit of juicy gossip.

In the meantime Bill Shorten and Labor are going about their business, largely unchallenged and just sticking their heads up from time to time to point the finger; hey look at that lot over there.

That we have people within our own Liberal parliamentary ranks who’d rather destroy the party instead of our opposition I think is reprehensible. No wonder Labor are laughing at us. Let's just pray they don’t take the rest of us down with them.

Our Anything Goes Society - We Reap What We Sow

The headline reads; "Online porn turns school-aged kids into sexual predators"...It’s a sobering read. (Source: The Australian March 5, 2016. Natasha Bita)

The anything goes society was bound to blow up in our faces at some point. It wasn’t as though people weren’t warned about the likely outcomes of gratuitous violence and pornography being available to anyone who wants to access it. That now includes kids and teenagers. What a brilliant idea!!!! What did society expect would happen!!!

The tax-funded website Minus 18, even included an article on covering your tracks!!! This article gave detailed instructions on erasing Internet search engines. I was 'gobsmacked' when I read that. Whilst Minus 18 provides sex information for gay teens do people seriously think information isn’t shared? Taxpayers funded resources used to teach teenagers how to be deceitful. How brain numbingly stupid is that.

“Studies show that young men repeatedly exposed to pornography are more likely to objectify women, and young women who view pornography are more likely to self-objectify and tolerate sexual harassment from men.” You can imagine the future if increasing numbers of kids as young as six are gaining access to pornographic material.

What we are witnessing today is just another example of caving into the agendas of some sections of the community to long term detriment of all. Political correct decisions based on the rights of minorities that result in the rights of others being violated. Adults preying on kids, kids preying on kids. Girls seeking treatment for violent sexual injuries. We should be keeping our kids safe not giving them access to material that motivates them and teaches them how to become abusers.

We do indeed reap what we sow and we just keep making the same mistakes over and over again. It's depressing.

Welcome to The World of Blob

I have pondered with the question of gender diversity and of social reengineering for a while.  The argument to be all encompassing. Encompassing ever desire is a compelling one to certain sections of the community. No caring person wants others to feel left out or ostracised. But let’s face it, millions are ostracised. The reasons are many and varied. But yet, we can’t address that problem for everyone. Nor would we want to in some instances. The questions that I struggle with? Where do we draw the boundary in this battle of competing social rights agendas and what comes next.

The two hot topics in this arena currently are; same sex marriage and the Safe Schools program. One seems to morph into the other. If you attempt to be circumspect you are bound to be labelled a right-wing homophobe. Actually, I’ll rephrase that, not bound to be, you WILL be. The process is simply to shut down the debate and brand others as evil.

The social reform agenda is an emotive debate. The two key points for me are.  What is the ultimate aim, the goal of social reengineering? What are we doing about teaching kids to deal with their differences. As opposed to demanding and bullying everyone else into changing? This post is about the goal of social reengineering.

We never talk about the ‘what comes next’ should we go down the path of same sex marriage as an example. We're faced with never ending extremely emotive arguments. I want to be free to love and show my love. Anyone is free to love we don’t need to change the law to do that or  sanitise society to do that. But I digress as usual.

It's what comes next and the impact of further change in society that concerns me the most. In 2005 Spain replaced "mother" and "father" on birth certificates. The new terms being “Progenitor A” and “Progenitor B”. Parent A and Parent B. The change was a direct result of legalising same sex marriage the following proves it.

“Juan Fernando López Aguilar, Spanish Minister of Justice, excused the ministerial order by claiming since the government modified “the status of civil marriages, to allow the union of same-sex couples, it was necessary for a new format for the Family Book (Libro de Familia)."

To match up, it’s same-sex marriage legislation to the Civil Registry, the Spanish government deemed that Spaniards could no longer qualify themselves as either “Fathers” or “Mothers” of their children. I find that sad.

That change in isolation might not sound like much. But link that with the global push to remove the reference ‘boy’ and ‘girl’ and the aim becomes clearer. Global Social Degendering. But goes even further than boy and girl.

There are many examples of degendering if you take the time to look. Just a couple to prove my point.

“Ontario banned “mother” and “father”. They also removed the terms “wife”, “husband”, “widow”, and “widower” from all statutes.”

Scotland 2007. Nurses were instructed by (the National Health Service) that “mother” and “father” were homophobic. These were to be replaced with “carers” or “guardians.” The terms “husband”, “wife”, and “marriage” were replaced with “partners” and “close friend." This was at the Request of the homosexualist lobby group Stonewall.

Having only recently become a widow, I shudder to think what I am now.  Being a wife never defined who I was. Becoming a widow won’t either, but it brings me comfort to refer to myself as such. Although I struggle with the word widow, it's nothing to do with the word but the circumstances.

Almost every country who has legalised SSM has moved to change laws to remove references to gender and to modify marriage status. Example ‘husband’ and ‘wife’ replaced with ‘partner’ or ‘spouse’. In the US there is even a push from some quarters to remove biological parents from birth certificates. This opens up all sorts of issues down the track.

I find this whole push to sanitise society and to remove all links with status offensive. I refuse to be browbeaten into feeling ashamed of what I am. We must not be made to feel ashamed of being boy or a girl. It's not a crime to be a  wife or a husband Likewise mother or a father, a widow or a widower is NOT shameful. I would argue none of those words are homophobic.

We are not immune. The Safe Schools program here, takes a politically correct approach to sex education. Teachers are instructed it is “heterosexist” to refer to students as girls and boys. It's utter rubbish, but we roll over and it appears accept it. More fool us.

Being inclusive of minorities has merit. But expecting the majority to change to accommodate does not. If same sex couples want to refer themselves as partners and parents fine. But they have no right to demand the rest of us do the same. Governments cannot change the rules to accommodate sociological, cultural reengineering agendas.  I am tired of this push from a Marxist perspective. It is the formal rights of minorities against real freedoms of the majority.

Don’t kid yourself that legalising SSM won’t lead to more changes. Pushing the boundaries is human nature. If the majority wants that fine, but we better have a clear understanding of where this will lead. Then, we need to think, am I comfortable living in this new degendered sanitised world. When the polygamist demand equal rights to marry more than one partner, will we support that. I think we’ll be hard pressed to say no. BTW the push has already started where SSM has been legalised.

Cultural Marxism is the ideological driver behind Political Correctness. It is the destructive criticism and undermining of all institutions of Western civilisation. It is an attack on the traditional values underpinning Western civilisation. It promotes tolerance and respect for so-called minority opinions and beliefs. But it completely ignores broader respect for human beings.

Now we have the rise of moralistic relativism. I read this recently, I’ve added a few embellishments in brackets.  I thought it summed it up extremely well. "Because all values are relative, you have no right to impose your value judgments on others; but if you are not a progressive in politics, you are a fascist (and a homophobe and bible-bashing, right-wing nut-job) and so cannot be allowed to express your vicious and hateful opinions in public discourse." These attitudes are rarely stated in such stark juxtaposition; but finding them actually held by the same persons, and voiced in separate contexts, is not difficult…hear, hear.

Seriously, we shouldn’t be silenced. We need to know where we are heading so we can make informed decisions. We need to talk about the cause and effect because there is always one. Unless of course we are happy with the new world of Blob and the Blobette. No, wait a minute, that’s probably ‘racist’ and  ‘homophobic’.

Welcome to the world of Blob.
